Description
Ron Weasley is one of the heroes of the Second Wizarding War and the best friend of Harry Potter. The youngest son of Arthur and Molly Weasley (among the boys), Ron was sorted into Gryffindor and stood alongside Harry and Hermione Granger through every trial they faced. He is tall, red-haired, and known for his loyalty, humor, and occasional bouts of insecurity that he has largely grown past since the war.
Background
Ron was instrumental in the hunt for Horcruxes and the defeat of Voldemort, fighting bravely in the Battle of Hogwarts. Like Harry Potter, he did not return to Hogwarts for his 7th year after the war. Instead, he joined the Ministry of Magic as an Auror, helping to round up remaining Death Eaters and restore order to the wizarding world.
History
After roughly two years as an Auror (around 2000), Ron retired from the Ministry and joined his brother George in running Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes, the wildly successful joke shop in Diagon Alley. The decision suited him well, allowing him to put his humor and creativity to good use in a less dangerous line of work.
Ron married Hermione Granger, and together they have two children: Rose and Hugo (born around 2006 and later). He was made Godfather of Harry Potter and Ginny’s eldest son, James. Among his proudest accomplishments, Ron was featured on a Chocolate Frog card for his role in the war, which he stated was his “finest hour.”
