Description
Edward “Teddy” Remus Lupin is the son of Nymphadora Tonks and Remus Lupin, both members of the Order of the Phoenix who were killed at the Battle of Hogwarts. Teddy is a Metamorphmagus — he can change his appearance at will, a gift inherited from his mother.
Background
Teddy was born in approximately April 1998, just weeks before the Battle of Hogwarts, which claimed the lives of both his parents. He was raised by his maternal grandmother, Andromeda Tonks, who had already endured the loss of her husband Ted Tonks during the war. Harry Potter, named Teddy’s godfather by Remus before the battle, played a significant role in his upbringing. The Potter and Weasley families both consider Teddy one of their own, and he spent considerable time at both households growing up.
To everyone’s great relief, Teddy did not inherit any werewolf tendencies from his father. He did, however, inherit his mother’s Metamorphmagus abilities, frequently changing his hair color and facial features — a talent that endeared him to other children and occasionally exasperated his grandmother.
History
During the campaign period of 2005-2007, Teddy is approximately seven to nine years old and not yet attending Hogwarts. He lives with his grandmother Andromeda and visits Harry Potter and the Weasley family regularly.
