Description
Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes is a joke shop located at 93 Diagon Alley, founded by Fred and George Weasley. The shop is famous for its inventive magical products, including Extendable Ears, Skiving Snackboxes, Pygmy Puffs, Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder, and a range of defensive items developed during the Second Wizarding War. The storefront is unmissable — a garish, colorful display of fireworks and animated advertisements that stands in stark contrast to the gloomy atmosphere that settled over Diagon Alley during Voldemort’s rise.
History
Fred and George Weasley left Hogwarts during their seventh year in spectacular fashion, launching fireworks through the corridors before flying away on broomsticks. They used startup capital provided by Harry Potter (his Triwizard Tournament winnings) to open the shop in 1996. Despite the dark times, the shop thrived — people needed laughter more than ever.
After Fred’s death at the Battle of Hogwarts, George continued running the business. Ron Weasley joined him as a partner after a brief career as an Auror.
Current Status
Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes remains one of the most successful businesses in Diagon Alley, now operated by George Weasley and Ron Weasley. The shop continues to innovate, and its products are beloved by witches and wizards of all ages.
