Description
Corban Yaxley was a Death Eater who rose to prominence during the Second Wizarding War by infiltrating the Ministry of Magic. A powerful wizard and skilled at the Imperius Curse, Yaxley played a key role in Voldemort’s takeover of the Ministry, eventually assuming control of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.
History
Yaxley was among the Death Eaters present at the meeting in Malfoy Manor where Voldemort planned the takeover of the Ministry of Magic. He placed the Imperius Curse on Pius Thicknesse, the head of Magical Law Enforcement, facilitating the Death Eaters’ bloodless coup. Under the puppet Ministry, Yaxley wielded significant power and participated in the persecution of Muggle-borns.
During the Battle of Hogwarts, Yaxley was defeated by George Weasley and Lee Jordan.
Current Status
Sentenced to life imprisonment in Azkaban following the Battle of Hogwarts.
