Description
Miriam Pike is a neatly dressed student with perfectly organized robes and a color-coded schedule visible in her bag at all times. Her magical planner (enchanted by her mother) occasionally yells at her in hallways if she’s running late or off-task.
Personality
Miriam is the kind of student who volunteers for cleanup duty and panics when someone forgets their homework, always anxious about maintaining order and following rules. Despite being a bit of a tattle-tale, she’s surprisingly capable with organizing spells, logistics, and minor bureaucracy-related enchantments.
Background
Miriam has built connections to faculty, house elves, and staff through her helpful nature and dutiful service around the school. She initially sees rule-breakers as threats to school order, but might be persuaded to help if shown the truth about real dangers—possibly becoming a key figure in convincing faculty of serious threats if she can be swayed.
Story
Miriam was an easy target for Caoimhe Keelan, Finlay Figgins, and Otto Noxley’s machinations. When the party needed to switch research topics for Wizzlethorpe’s Research Challenge, they convinced the ever-anxious Miriam—along with Tamsin Greaves—to trade away Pre-Hogwarts Magical Architecture for Talking Herbs.
Miriam’s team with Tamsin and Isolde Kettleburn would have won first place, but Caoimhe burned their report the week before submission. Their incomplete work bumped them to third place, earning them the Bag of Tricks instead of the coveted Dust of Disappearance. Miriam remains unaware of who sabotaged her team’s hard work.
