Description
Draco Malfoy is the son of Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy, and a former rival of Harry Potter during their years at Hogwarts. Sorted into Slytherin House, Draco was raised to believe in pure-blood supremacy and spent much of his youth as an arrogant bully. The war, however, changed him profoundly. He is now a quieter, more contemplative man, carrying the weight of choices he was too young to fully understand when he made them.
Background
During the Second Wizarding War, Draco was made a Death Eater under Voldemort’s pressure, a role he took on reluctantly and largely as punishment for his father Lucius’s failures. He was tasked with killing Albus Dumbledore but could not bring himself to do it. The horrors he witnessed during the war — and his family’s complicity in them — shattered the worldview he had been raised with.
After seeing everything his family believed in crumble, Draco became a changed man. He made peace with Harry Potter following the Battle of Hogwarts, though they were never really friends. The mutual acknowledgment was enough.
History
Around 2002, Draco married Astoria Greengrass, the younger sister of Daphne Greengrass (a Slytherin in his year at Hogwarts). Together they had a son, Scorpius Malfoy. Draco and Astoria made a conscious decision to raise Scorpius very differently than Draco had been raised, teaching him that Muggles and Muggle-borns should be respected as equals.
This did not sit well with Draco’s parents, Lucius and Narcissa, leading to tense family gatherings and strained relationships.
