Description

A Major Splinch is a severe form of Splinching — the magical accident that occurs when Apparition goes catastrophically wrong. During a Major Splinch, the caster leaves behind a significant portion of their body upon arrival at their destination. This can include an entire limb, a large section of flesh, or in the worst cases, a vital organ.

A Major Splinch requires immediate medical attention and can be fatal if left untreated. Treatment involves the application of Essence Of Dittany combined with specialist healing magic performed by trained mediwitches or mediwizards.

Game Mechanics

In game terms, a Major Splinch represents a critical failure during an Apparition attempt. It inflicts serious injury on the character and demands urgent in-game intervention to prevent death.
